Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring a clean and sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

-Place composite and amalgam restorations
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:
- Previous experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant required
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficient in using dental software for charting and scheduling (CAD)
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages
